The foreign ministers of ASEAN countries held an informal meeting in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, on the 17th and promised to ensure the full and effective implementation of the regional comprehensive economic partnership agreement (RCEP). The meeting was presided over by Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and foreign minister bla sokhun and adopted a combination of on-site and online methods. At the press conference after the meeting, blasokun said that the foreign ministers pledged to ensure the full and effective implementation of RCEP and reiterated the importance of strengthening ASEAN economic integration and intra ASEAN trade, investment and supply chain connectivity, so as to enhance the competitiveness and connectivity of the region. Blasokun said that the foreign ministers also discussed measures to revitalize the economy of the region in the post epidemic era and stressed the importance of the complete and effective implementation of the ASEAN comprehensive recovery framework.
